Sheen Falls Country Club to have several holiday homes converted to private dwellings
Kerry County Council received planning requests from three seperate applicants to develop the holiday homes into private dwellings
The popular Sheen Falls Country Club in Kenmare will see several of its luxury holiday homes converted into private dwellings under new plans approved by Kerry County Council.
Demasta Limited applied to the Council for a change of use of six houses from holiday homes to private dwelling houses, with the homes to be converted comprising numbers 7, 15, 16, 19, 28 and 29, Forest View, Gortnadullagh in Kenmare.
In addition, a separate developer, Rohcage Ltd also received permission to convert a further three holiday homes from the Sheen Falls Country Club to private dwellings, with these homes comprising numbers 2, 3 and 7, Mountain View, Gortnadullagh.
Separately, applicant Michelle McCarthy received the green light from Kerry County Council to convert holiday home number 13, also of Mountain View, Gortnadullagh, into a private dwelling.
Meanwhile, tech giant Apple has applied for permission to extend its campus on the north side of Cork City.
The company has sought planning from the council to develop lands adjacent to David McCarthy Road and Nash's Boreen in Hollyhill.
The proposed development will consist of an extension to the existing staff car park to provide additional parking spaces and associated internal roads.
The development will be accessed via the permitted vehicular access points off David McCarthy Road and will also include boundary treatments, a service gate, drainage, and all ancillary site development works.
The council is due to decide on the development by May 19.
