Man, 20s, arrested in connection with serious assault in Dublin

A man in his 20s has been arrested in connection with the serious assault of a man in his 60s at a property on Basin St, Dublin 8.
Gardaí are investigating the incident which occurred on Tuesday.
Gardaí and emergency services responded to a report of an unresponsive man at approximately 12pm that day.
The victim was later removed from the scene by ambulance.
He is currently receiving treatment at Beaumont Hospital where his condition is understood to be serious.
The man who was arrested is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984, at a Garda station in the Dublin region.
