Connacht captain Cian Prendergast has entered the gradual return to play protocols after he was discharged from hospital after he was stretchered off during Saturday's historic URC clash against Munster at Hastings Insurance MacHale Park in Castlebar.

Prendergast was injured at the ruck with Alex Nankivell given a red card by referee Craig Evans for a no-arms high tackle which saw the Connacht captain leave on a stretcher and in a neck brace. He was taken to hospital and was released on Sunday. He will follow the return to play protocols with a view of returning to training next week.

Shayne Bolton (foot) and Ben Murphy (finger) have returned to full training following their respective injuries.

Peter Dooley (calf), Sean O'Brien (hamstring) and Bryon Ralston (knee) are all continuing rehabiliation on their injuries and remain unavailable.
