Kamasi Washington plays Cork Opera House on April 9; Sugagbabes play 3Arena in Dublin on April 20; and Paul Brady plays Vicar Street on April 11, 12 and 15.

Kamasi Washington, April 9, Cork Opera House, Cork: 

The US multi-instrumentalist and bandleader Kamasi Washington has toured the world over and collaborated and shared stages with Kendrick Lamar and Herbie Hancock. 

Originally supposed to be part of Guinness Cork Jazz Festival, the saxophonist had to cancel the 2024 tour due to a back injury. He also plays the Olympia in Dublin on April 8. Support comes from highly-rated UK jazzer Emma-Jean Thackray.

Critically acclaimed multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter Joan As Police Woman will play Cork Opera House following the release of her 10th studio album Lemons, Limes & Orchids.

Paul Brady, April 11, 12 and 15, Vicar Street, Dublin: 

Paul Brady is one of Ireland’s most highly regarded and successful artists, and will be rolling out the classics for his Dublin gigs.

The 4 Of Us, April 12, Live at St Luke’s, Cork: 

Renowned for their emotional intensity and musical precision, Irish rock band The 4 Of Us have been a presence in the music scene since their formation in the late 1980s.

Making History, April 11-26, Everyman, Cork:

It’s been quite a while since Brian Friel’s play set around the Battle of Kinsale and the Flight of the Ears has been seen in Cork. This production is directed by the Everyman’s new artistic director Des Kennedy, with a cast that includes Aaron McCusker (Shameless) and Denis Conway.

Faulty Towers: The Dining Experience, April 15 - April 20, Live at The Metropole, Cork: 

Characters based on the original Basil, Sybil, and Manuel will serve up chaos as people are treated to a 70s-style, three-course meal at The Metropole Hotel.

Emma Langford, April 18, Coughlan’s, Cork:

Sugababes, April 20, 3Arena, Dublin: 

Since their formation in 1998, Sugababes have scored six number one singles, had millions of global sales, and multiple multi-platinum albums.

Paul Noonan and Brian Crosby, April 25, Connolly’s of Leap, Co Cork: 

Both musicians have had varied musical careers – Noonan with BellX1 as well as solo projects, and Crosby as a collaborator on numerous film and TV scores as well as his own solo piano work.
