Lisnagarvey aim to go top of the table on their own in men’s EYHL 1

Lisnagarvey have the opportunity this weekend to go ahead of the rest in the men’s EYHL 1 table as they play two games.
On Saturday, they host YMCA before a trip to near rivals Annadale on Sunday.
Meanwhile, Three Rock Rovers and Banbridge will be determined to keep pace, with fixtures against Avoca and Pembroke Wanderers, respectively.
In EYHL 2, Cork C of I have the chance to secure second place in Pool A as they host Railway Union at Garryduff.
They will also be hoping Kilkenny can cause an upset against leaders Cookstown to give them a shot at the top next weekend.
In Pool B Harlequins are in a similar situation going into the game. A win away to Clontarf would see them secure second in the table and as a result set up a likely playoff place against Bandon. Julian Dale will be one of the players Quins will look to as they bid to secure that spot.
On Sunday, Bandon will aim to lock down second place in the Munster Senior League when they face third-placed C of I. A draw would be enough to achieve that goal.
It’s been a challenging period for the club, having narrowly missed out on both the league title and the Munster Senior Cup — losing to Harlequins on both occasions.
In women’s EYHL 1, Catholic Institute’s six-point haul last weekend has thrust them back into the playoff conversation.
They now face a pivotal encounter against league leaders Loreto. A win would cut the gap to just four points, while a defeat could see them slip out of playoff contention.
For UCC, this season’s EYHL 1 campaign has been a tough test, and they now find themselves in must-win territory. Their clash against Pembroke Wanderers on Saturday is a do-or-die scenario — only a win will keep their survival hopes alive.
