Woman arrested after 'suspect devices' and firearm seized in Co Wexford

A woman has been arrested after a number of "suspect devices" and a firearm were seized in Co Wexford.
During the course of a planned search operation, gardaí discovered a number of suspect devices at a residence in Gorey on Thursday.
The search operation was targeting criminal activity in the Wexford/Wicklow Division.
Gardaí said a cordon was established after the suspect devices were found.
"The Irish Defence Forces Explosive Ordnance Disposal team which attended the scene conducted a controlled explosion on the viable suspect devices," said a Garda spokesperson.
A suspect firearm, along with a large quantity of ammunition, were also seized during the operation and will be sent for technical examination by the Ballistics Section of the Garda Technical Bureau.
A quantity of suspected cocaine was also seized during the search, and is pending analysis.
A woman, aged in her 30s, was arrested at the scene and is currently detained under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act 1939 at a Garda station in the south-east.
The scene is currently being held for technical examination.
Investigations are ongoing.
