At a trendy launch event in London, JBL unveiled its latest additions to its portable speaker lineup: the PartyBox 520, PartyBox Encore 2, Flip 7, and Charge 6. The brand claims enhanced sound quality, innovative features, and improved portability. The Club JBL London event, headlined by the band Rudimental, also featured interviews hosted by Oisin Lunny. The event drew a packed audience of tech journalists and influencers.

The PartyBox 520 is JBL's most powerful battery-powered speaker to date. It is designed for big events and boasts a solid build with an IPX4 splashproof rating, good enough against unexpected spills or light rain. It includes a telescopic handle and sturdy wheels to help make transportation easier, making it ideal for mobile parties. One of its notable features is the AI Sound Boost, which analyses audio in real time to optimise output, delivering dynamic bass and clear treble without distortion. Additionally, the replaceable battery offers up to 15 hours of continuous playtime, with fast-charging capabilities ensuring minimal downtime between uses.
For those seeking a more compact option without compromising on sound, the PartyBox Encore 2 is smaller than the PatryBox 520. It features redesigned ergonomic handles for better portability for users on the move. It comes with a wireless microphone – great for any setting into karaoke. It also features dynamic lights that sync with the music.
With Bluetooth 5.4 and LE Audio, users can expect superior streaming quality. The Encore 2 also offers up to 15 hours of battery life, and a quick 10-minute charge provides an additional 80 minutes of playback, ensuring the music doesn't stop unexpectedly.

Building upon the success of its predecessors, the Flip 7 introduces several upgrades. It now features an interchangeable finger loop and carabiner hook, allowing users to attach it to bags or belts effortlessly. JBL says the AI Sound Boost technology ensures powerful bass without distortion, and the upgraded tweeter delivers clear and crisp sounds even at higher volumes. Its IP68 rating should offer excellent protection against water and dust, making it suitable for various environments, from beach outings to backyard gatherings. The battery life has been extended to up to 16 hours with Playtime Boost, and with Bluetooth 5.4 capabilities, users can enjoy improved wireless connectivity.

The Charge 6 is a versatile speaker, now equipped with a detachable handle strap for improved portability. It also integrates AI Sound Boost, and an upgraded woofer ensures deeper bass, allowing listeners to feel the rhythm across any space. Auracast support enables synchronisation with other compatible speakers, creating a more immersive audio experience. The Charge 6 offers up to 28 hours of battery life with Playtime Boost, ensuring extended playtime for longer events. True to its name, it also functions as a power bank, equipped with a built-in USB-C port for charging devices on the go.
