147-acre Dingle Peninsula farm for sale in stunning location

For sale jointly with Tralee-based auctioneer Ger Carmody and Dingle-based Fitzgerald Auctioneers, a 147-acre farm on the Dingle Peninsula is drawing a good deal of attention at an early stage.
The property is made up of mixed-quality lands — varying from good grassland to hillier pastures and some forestry, but the sheer volume of acres on offer here, mixed with the attractiveness of the location, mean there should be no shortage of suitors.
The farm is accessed via a cul-de-sac public road in the townland of Coole, near Annascaul village. While Annascaul is 3km to the southeast of the property, the grave of the famous Antarctic explorer Tom Crean lies less than 1km to the east in Ballynacourty Cemetery.
“It’s not often that you get a nice parcel of land like that with so much acreage together,” says selling agent Anthony Fitzgerald.

“You have about 32 good-quality acres — land that you can take silage off. As for the rest of it, a lot of it is reclaimed but it’s of quite good quality. Some of it, then, is quite steep.”
The property has been well cared for over the years, the agent says. The previous owner is deceased and it is an executor sale.
“There’s a farmhouse on it as well,” added Mr Fitzgerald. “Which is an attractive proposition in itself. The farmhouse needs a bit of work to bring it up to date but it’s in a very nice location.”
While the traditional farmhouse is in need of renovation, there are also a number of agricultural buildings. These include three natural stone outhouses, three stables, an old hay barn, two slatted units with underground slurry tank, a cattle crush and two silage bays.
Given its private peaceful location close to some of the Dingle Peninsula’s most renowned beauty spots (10km from Inch Beach, 8km from Minard Castle), it’s a holding that is likely to interest those seeking a lifestyle change as much as those seeking additional acreage.
The farm comes with entitlements and a price guide of €675,000 (€4,600/acre).
