New heads lined up for Lyons' den

CHANGES at board level of one of Ireland’s largest architectural firms, employing 250 in Dublin and Cork, have been described as marking “an ambitious evolution of practice.”

New board and director appointment at Henry J Lyons – which currently has 220 employed in Dublin and a further 30 in Cork “strengthens operations while diversifying skills and expanding design leadership capabilities,” said the award-winning firm.

Claire Pierce, Eoin Flanagan and Neal Patterson have joined the board of directors: also appointed in senior leadership roles are four studio directors, a technical director, eight design directors, a head of AI and design innovation, and a sector lead for data centres.
Among the firm’s output are the Criminal Courts of Justice, headquarter buildings for the Central Bank, LinkedIn, Salesforce, KPMG and Amazon.

In Munster Henry J Lyons designed OCP’s Navigation Square, JCD’s One Albert Quay (where it now has its own offices) and Railway Yard, as well as securing planning for a 34 storeys tall tower at Custom House Quay, and Limerick’s Project Opera.
It also has significant projects internationally, and, apart from commercial buildings is involved in design for delivery of 16,000 homes across Ireland, as well as workspace for over 15,000 employees in Dublin city.
