While antiques come with their own histories, bespoke jewellery allows you to create your own unique story from scratch. The beauty of finding an heirloom-worthy piece is that it can be passed on through the generations and never date. The embodiment of wearable luxury, Joshua Reynolds’ jewellery is created with exquisite craftsmanship. Eschew identikit mass-produced accessories and embrace the care that goes into every piece that Reynolds makes. Choose from ethically sourced lab-grown diamonds or recreate the rainbow-like in this unique engagement ring pictured (starting at €6000, depending on the gemstones). The beauty of the process is in its slow approach - most pieces take between six and 8 weeks. This includes a 3D render of the product to ensure that any changes can be incorporated. With the demand for gold at an all-time high, it's likely to rise in value and who needs a pension anyway?

Fashion designer Roisin Pierce opens the door to the darkest depths of our collective history and from that place of primal pain, creates something beautiful. At first glance, her all-white feminine aesthetic imbues saccharine sweet innocence but on further inspection, the textures and layers reveal the resilience in the woman she dresses. Drawing inspiration from the whitework embroidery of the Magdelene Laundries, the zero waste designer reimagines Mná i Bláth, the unmarried women who became pregnant. Light, airy fabrics reinvent these women turning tragedy into triumph. From dressing Alexa Chung for the Met Gala to winning the first-ever Chanel Metiers d’Art prize, the collections are as wearable as they are talking points. We’re investing in the floating fleur lace and organza sleeveless top, approximately €1610 and pairing it with selvedge denim. Shop at 10corsocomo.com or Dover Street Market doverstreetmarket.com.

We have officially entered the era of the little black handbag. When classic styles like Bottega Veneta’s Intrecciato bag and Loewe’s Puzzle bag trump logomania and novelty, you know the fashion set is wising up to the merits of longevity over trends. Enter Irish brand Alēo, whose timeless leather handbags deserve a pinned post on your grid. Shielding oneself from the paparazzi, providing a hiding place for chilli heatwave Doritos or as a chic home for one's furry friend - Alēo’s Palma bag, €309, is our must-have accessory of this season. Leave the ludicrously capacious bags to Greg's date (if you know you know). Find the full collection at aleoeurope.com.

The fine art of cobblers and cordwainers has all but diminished over the years, save for a select few artisans carrying on a family tradition. Every high street store turns over high volumes of styles that change to accommodate seasonal trends but smaller labels can mean more exclusivity and superior craftsmanship. Such is the case with new Irish brand Bróg. Made ethically in Spain and Italy with buttery smooth leather, these dusty pink mules, €220 will usher us into the warmer days and last a lifetime. Available at brog.ie.

The ubiquitous trench coat has enjoyed perennial appeal for a reason. Err on the side of classic to avoid looking like an Inspector Gadget cosplay without the Marigold glove (mental note, excellent Halloween idea). Shrimps’ signature spirited sophistication is imbued in the spring summer 2025 Birch trench coat, €830. Strong references to its heritage like the water-resistant fabric are modernised with contrasting gingham accents and the oversized collar du jour. Does it have pockets? Why, yes, yes it does. Purchase at shrimps.com.

If you've stepped away from skinnies but you're not quite ready to embrace the dread barrel, try something in between. Whether your inspiration is Bella Hadid, Hailey Bieber or Neo in The Matrix, everyone needs a chic pair of black-rimmed sunglasses in their arsenal. Oval glasses saw a renaissance of sorts last year. With a low bridge and slim fit, this shape is ideal for those who prefer a subtle style statement. If you’re reticent to commit fully, try something with a high street price like this sophisticated pair from M&S, €20. Available in store or online at marksandspencer.com.

Kaldero, the restaurant located in the prime city centre Dublin location that was home to Wagamama, is a Pan-Asian offering - the word ‘kaldero’ means ‘pot’ in Tagalog, one of the principal languages of the Philippines. The menu from Eclective Hospitality Group - formerly Press Up - is a vast offering. But it's the chocolate dessert that really piqued out attention. Chocolate mousse with kiwi sounds like an unusual pairing but trust us - it's a sweet treat you'll never forget. kaldero.ie
