The Midleton Park Hotel is to rebrand as Talbot Hotel Midleton, it announced on Monday.

The East Cork hotel has been part of the Talbot Collection for the past 10 years and now takes on the name as the Talbot Hotel Midleton. The group recently rebranded Oriel House Hotel in Ballincollig as Talbot Hotel Cork.

Since joining the Talbot group, the Midleton Park Hotel has upgraded to four-star status in 2015. Refurbishments include a redesign of the hotel bar and revamp of the front entrance and lobby, as well as upgrades to the leisure centre.

Parts of the glebe-house built in 1788 are still incorporated into the hotel.

"The ongoing improvements allows us to continue providing best-in-class service, while offering guests a fresh and modern experience. While our name is changing, our commitment to exceptional customer care remains unwavering.

"This rebrand marks a new chapter.," said Talbot Collection managing director Philipp Gavin.
