The Lismore Food Company has announced it is "taking a pause" as it reflects on the best future decision for the business.

Established just over a decade ago in Lismore, Waterford by Beth-Ann Smith and brothers Owen and Ken Madden, the company specialises in high-end sweet and savoury food products, drinks and hampers, and has supplied Marks & Spencer and Brown Thomas among other major retailers.

However, the company says that the "changing landscape" has made them pause the business, writing on its website: "The Lismore Food Company is taking an extended pause in business in the coming months to re-evaluate its product range.

"During this time, all individual products and hampers will not be available."

Posting on social media, the company said: "We have decided to take a pause for now while we reflect on the best future direction for The Lismore Food Company.

Thanking its long-time customers, the owners added: "We are truly beyond grateful to you all. You have all supported us so brilliantly throughout the 10 years since the launch of The Lismore Food Company.

"From buying our products and hampers, to gifting them on to your friends, family and colleagues, to your appreciative messages. It’s been an incredible journey and at every turn you have embraced us, grown with us and supported us."

Meanwhile, the company also announced that two of its founders, Beth-Ann Smith and Ken Madden have set up an online Art Auction House called Lot100.

Posting on social media, Lismore Foods said Lot100 aims to "connects buyers and sellers of fine art, prints, multiples, photography, sculpture and collectibles through online auctions accessible throughout the world."
